Quick Tip for Pet Photos: Get on Their Level!

This is one of my all-time favorite tips!

While I love a cute looking-down-at-them shot, they’re often difficult to pull off without risking distorted proportions (head looks huge compared to the body, etc).

So, why not get down on their level??

This gives you the perfect opportunity to see things through their perspective and brings them closer, so it’s also easier to focus (though that’s not usually too much of a concern with newer technology now).

And that’s also the beautiful thing about digital technology today - we can take a ton of photos and experiment with different angles, locations, whatever, and just delete whatever images we don’t like later!

(I have to watch myself on that during my portrait sessions, though- I tend to go way over board, haha!)

If you’ve got a favorite photo of your fur babies, please share!! I’d love to see them! <3
